Day 1: Arrival in Uganda & Transfer to Bwindi
Morning: Arrive in Entebbe.. Afternoon: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest (6-8 hours from Entebbe, or 4 hours from Kigali). Enjoy the scenic views en route. Evening: Arrive at your lodge near Bwindi, relax, and prepare for your trekking adventure.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Morning: After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing. Gorilla Trekking: Embark on a guided trek through the forest to track the mountain gorillas. This can take 2 to 8 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. Afternoon: After spending one hour with the gorillas, return to the lodge for relaxation and a well-deserved meal. Evening: Option to engage in cultural activities or a nature walk nearby.
Day 3: Explore Bwindi & Community Experience
Morning: After breakfast, enjoy a guided nature walk in the forest or take a community visit to the Batwa or Bakiga villages to learn about the local culture and traditions. Afternoon: Visit the nearby Ishasha sector (optional) to view the famous tree-climbing lions or go on a game drive. Evening: Return to the lodge for a relaxing evening.
Day 4: Departure
Morning: After breakfast, depart Bwindi and travel back to Entebbe. Afternoon: Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time to explore a local market or enjoy a meal before your flight. Evening: Fly back to your home destination.
