Day 1: Arrival in Jinja & Exploring the Source of the Nile
Morning:
Depart from Kampala or Entebbe (approximately 2-3 hours by road).
Stop at the Sezibwa Falls, a cultural heritage site, for a quick visit.
Continue to Mabira Forest for a canopy walk or guided nature hike.
Afternoon:
Arrive in Jinja and have lunch at a riverside restaurant.
Visit the Source of the Nile, marked by a monument and flowing waters. Enjoy a boat ride to the exact point where the Nile begins its journey from Lake Victoria.
Evening:
Relax at your lodge or enjoy sunset views over the river.
Accommodation: Stay in riverside lodges like Wildwaters Lodge, Nile Village Hotel, or Jinja Nile Resort.
Day 2: Adventure Activities on the Nile
Morning:
Start the day with white-water rafting on the Nile (full or half-day options available). Navigate thrilling rapids with professional guides.
Alternatively, try kayaking or a quad biking safari through nearby villages.
Afternoon:
Have lunch by the river.
Go horseback riding along the Nile or take a peaceful boat cruise.
Evening:
Explore Jinja town. Visit the craft markets or dine at a local eatery like The Deli or Java House.
Accommodation: Same as Day 1.
Day 3: Cultural and Historical Exploration & Return
Morning:
Visit the Jinja Sailing Club or Ripon Falls. Learn about the Nile's historical significance.
Stop by the Jinja Market to experience local life and purchase souvenirs.
Afternoon:
Have lunch and begin your return journey to Kampala or Entebbe.
Optional Stop:
Visit the Itanda Falls, a scenic and lesser-known rapid downstream, for great photo opportunities.
